To Whom It May Concern,
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Robert (Bobby) Gambitta. I have had the opportunity to know Bobby both personally and professionally. This man is a well-rounded individual who serves his community as an 8th-grade American history teacher and provides support/training/conditioning to athletes both individually and team-based.
I was fortunate enough to have had Bobby as a teacher and he was phenomenal. His students excelled because of his dedication and the amazing way he developed his lessons to make American history interesting to us as students and relevant to our everyday lives. Outside of the classroom he is also influential by providing training and conditioning to both individual and team-based athletes. He was/is dedicated to the athletes at Cortland High School and consistently works with multiple teams and individual athletes who want to thrive athletically. He has worked with several athletes who went on to compete as Division I athletes in college.
I have played sports my entire life - soccer, lacrosse, karate and snowboarding. In high school I was an all-league athlete for both soccer and lacrosse and still hold the Cortland Jr. Sr. High School record for scoring the most soccer goals for both boys and girls. I went on to receive a 4-year athletic scholarship to play Division I soccer for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Throughout my high school career, I had the opportunity to grow as an athlete under Bobby’s conditioning tutelage. His success conditioning individual athletes, such as myself, who excelled in their sport, was noticed by coaches. Several coaches recruited him to serve as their conditioning coach. Bobby inspired team members and coaching staff to achieve success by his dedication, his conditioning knowledge, and his determination and willingness to give everything to the athletes.
Throughout my college playing years, Bobby was the person I would call immediately upon returning home in the summer with the goal to train and condition for the following season. This man’s dedication and support he provided me during this time made me the most in-shape player returning to UMASS season after season. I was able to complete the rigorous fitness tests with ease, and usually among those in the lead - all thanks to Bobby. Every summer, I provided Bobby with my “workout plan,” outlining the goals and fitness requirements expected of the coaches. Bobby was able to develop individual workouts that kept my athletic strengths and weaknesses in mind.
Bobby’s understanding and knowledge of human anatomy/physiology sets him apart. His knowledge, dedication and experience allow him to provide skill-based, sport-specific drills reaping immediate results. These drills and exercises enable the athletes, who work with him, thrive during the most essential moments of the game. Bobby helped me realize my potential as a soccer player and gave me the basic knowledge that I have been able to apply to my overall wellbeing and healthy lifestyle.
I recommend Bobby Gambitta to any individual or team seeking professional conditioning and training for athletes of any age. His personal athletic achievements and his uncanny ability to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each individual athlete will provide the success you are looking for. In addition, he inspires athletes to be the best they can be by encouraging hard work, leadership qualities and positive sportsmanship. He not only will improve athletic ability but overall life quality.
Sincerely,
Natalie Muka
